New to our chances to
perform is the Academy of Dance Arts
"Touring
Company"
This group has been established as a community service to fill a void both for the community and our dancers. It has come to our attention that Adult Day Care Centers, Nursing Homes, Schools and Churches have a need for benefit performers. It has also come to our attention that many young dancers would like additional chances to perform outside the annual dance recital. Therefore we have established the Touring Company.
The Touring Company will consist of dancers ages seven to twelve, who chose to participate on a volunteer basis, and bring to the company a wide variety of dance skills. Its' mission will be to provide quality dance entertainment to those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy such an event. The performances will be holiday oriented, and there will be two or three rehearsal sessions per dance year. Rehearsals will take place at the studio on Sundays for approximately six to eight weeks, followed by the performances, and then a break be fore the nest session begins. Dancers need only commit to one session at a time, but are welcome to commit to the entire season.
